A Photo Diary on 35mm Film | Penrose National Trust

I'll be the first to admit that the winter period between January and March is not my favourite time of year. Long gone are the twinkling Christmas lights and cosy mulled wine, and more often than not this time of year is filled with lots of rain, grey skies and the wish for it to be spring.
This year I made a promise to myself to try and make the most of this grey time by spending more time outdoors (even if that means getting soggy!) and trying to find joy in the little things.
So, I've been walking lots. Adventuring with muddy boots and cold fingertips all over the place. One of my favourite walking spots is Penrose - a National Trust estate just a few coves over from Porthleven. For me, it has it all! Rolling fields, a huge forest, a lake filled with wildlife (Loe Pool), and a winding path through it all that leads to a golden sand beach. Pretty dreamy right?
Over my last few visits I've taken one of my film cameras and snapped a few shots. More often than not the photos end up blurry and are taken from odd angles, but I love looking back at them and remembering the feeling of excitement I felt before taking them. Fumbling around, mind racing, eyes filled with wonder, here are some of those moments.
Fancy a visit? Here's what you need to know
