A visit to Slice of Cornwall

Nestled in a fairytale forest down a narrow, winding road you can find Slice. A cosy, trendy café that provides not only great food, but a beautiful experience.
After just one visit I knew Slice was going to be my place - the place I take friends for lunch when they travel down to Cornwall to see the sights, the place I spend lazy Sundays mornings munching on banana bread and drinking oat lattes, the place I go when I want to make a new memory with my boyfriend.
Congratulations Slice… you’ve made the cut (pun definitely intended).
Located near Constantine, just a stones throw away from Falmouth, Slice of Cornwall is tucked away in the heart of the Cornish countryside. Be prepared for some narrow lanes and stunning views as you meander down the road, passing some gorgeous homes, before arriving in the little car park. Slice boasts plenty of indoor seating as well as a huge outdoor terrace which overlooks a trickling stream and woodland, you feel as though you’re in a luxury treehouse with panoramic views that would make even the birds jealous.

After roaming the menu for a while it’s time to make your choice. From waffles to flatbread, Slice has something for every occasion. See their full menu on their website here.
It took me a while I’ll admit, but I finally settled on my choice - the R.L.T, a stone baked sourdough flatbread filled with their spiced house rostis, lizard leaf, tomato, vegan slow garlic mustard mayonnaise and mango goddess sauce.
And wow. I was speechless. The food was so vibrant and fresh, the perfect lunch to fuel me for my afternoon walk.
Feeling content I munched away and sipped on my iced coffee while my boyfriend tried (with difficulty) to fit the whole of their famous giant toasted marshmallow in his mouth.
And if all that wasn’t enough to convince you to visit, rumour has it Slice are preparing to be open for evening service in early 2022 which I’m definitely keeping my eyes peeled for! I can’t wait to be drinking wine and enjoying dinner as the sun sets on a spring evening, tucked away in the woodland.
So, what are you waiting for? Add Slice to your Cornwall to do list and get immersed in the kernow life.
Plan your visit:
Use ‘Slice of Cornwall, Trewardreva Mill, Constantine, Falmouth, TR11 5QD’ to find the spot!
Ample car parking on site
Dogs welcome for outdoor seating
Opening times 9am till 4pm
Hopefully I’ll see you there sometime - I promise not to stare when you also try, and fail, to fit the giant toasted marshmallow in your mouth!
